What is sentence

A sentence is group of words which express complete sense. Ex:- 1.This is a tree.         2.This is a cow.         3.This is a mobile phone. You can see this three sentence make different sense. If we write "is cow a This" -that is not a sentence.Because that can't make sense. Every group of words we can't say sentence. Every sentence has to be a finite verb or a nominative . Nominative is in sentence what we talk about for which that call nominative. Ex:- 1.Ram is a student.       In this case 'Ram' nominative or 'is' finite verb. If we write "Rohit is" In this case 'Rohit' nominative or 'is' finite verb.After that that is not a sentence. Because when we hear this a question came in our mind that is "What is?".That's mean this group of words don't express complete sense.          1.We hear sky.          2.Fishes are flying. types of sentences

  1.Simple Sentence Subject + Verb Example 1.Joy went to the market. 2.The music is very loud. 3.Sara and Rosy are going for swimming. 2.Compound Sentence Sentence that are joined by comma or conjunction Example 1.I like reading books and i like to play with my dog. ( conjunction ) 3.Complex Sentence Two sentence that are dependent on each other. Example 1.I ate my lunch because i was hungry. 4.Declarative Sentence Sentence that give an opinion or facts. Example 1.The sky is blue.( fact ) 2.Dog are so cute.( opinion ) 5.Imperative Sentence Sentence to give a command,make a request,give an advice. Example 1.Pass the salt.( command ) 2.Please,be quite.( r equest ) 3.Clean your room.( advice ) 6.Interrogative Sentence Sentence to ask questions Example 1.What time is it? 2.How are you? 7.Negative Sentence Sentence with 'not' Example 1.I do not like pets. 2.She is not coming.
